P1P1 – Pack Rats is muuuuuch better than Karn, in my humble opinion. Karn basically means you are going ramp or control. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing but I would rather keep my options a little more open with something like Pack Rats. Pack Rats is good in aggro decks, midrange decks, control decks, reanimator decks, pox decks, …all decks that have some black mana. Karn is like a giant tower of nuclear weapons but pack rats could win the game before you even get to karn mana.
I know this is one bias trying to talk to another bias but I figured I’d offer up that voice.
I don’t think I ever pass Karn in that pack. Karn is so insane.
And I think Pack Rat is more insane than Karn!
I would have played bane o the living too as another wrath effect instead of the toil n trouble.
